I managed to get both of my children into the garden this year and I have to say they are enjoying it so much, it is a delight. I have kept it nice and simple using the square foot method and left them to it on their own patch. The results are amazing and the children spend so much less time sitting in front of the TV or game station. They also love eating everything that they have grown, which includes a few veggies they normal would turn their noses up at

It's great that your son has gotten his hands dirty. If he's starting to understand the cycle of life I'm sure it will be wonderful for his cognitive development.
